Innopolis Chip Design Club

Innopolis Chip Design Club is a student, scientific and engineering community at Innopolis University that aims to learn and practice the art of hardware design.

What we do

Digital hardware, from a first state machine to a taped-out flow.

FPGA

Designs that run on real boards, not only in simulation.

RISC-V & CPU design

Building processors is how the rest of it starts to make sense.

Verification

Testbenches, golden models and the discipline of proving a design works.

ASIC flows

Taking the better projects toward what a chip actually needs.

What we are

InnoChipDesign is a student engineering community at Innopolis University. We formed in 2023 around a simple idea: that the way to understand how a processor works is to build one. Our members design digital hardware — writing RTL, running it on FPGA boards, verifying it, and taking the better projects toward an ASIC flow.

The club has fielded teams at the YADRO SoC Design Challenge every year since 2023 and placed in 2024.

Come along

Every Saturday at 12:00 during the spring and fall semesters. The room is announced in the Telegram chat before each session.
